Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS A HENNA TATTOO?
Henna is all natural substance from a plant, which stains your skin a dark reddish-brown color.
IS IT A PERMANENT REAL TATTOO?
No, it is not. It is an ancient art of temporary tattooing.
DOES IT HURT?
No! Your henna body art is applied through a thin tube, not a needle.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
We paint the design on you, which dries in about 15 minutes. Some designs may take a little longer to dry.
The paste dries to form a thin layer which crackles as the skin, moves underneath it, but must remain on (without being washed off) to allow the henna paste ample time to set.
We recommend that you leave the dry paste on your skin at least 6 hours (preferably overnight).
The longer the cracked layer remains on the surface skin in the first hours, the darker and longer the stain will be underneath, (once the top – layer has been washed off).
When you wash it off the next morning an imprint of the design will be left on your skin, orange-ish color which then turns reddish-brown later.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Usually, we estimate that your henna body art will last about a week or two, if you follow
AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Henna paste should stay on the skin for at least 15 min. to dry. When dry, the bits should flake off naturally, but leave henna paste on for as long as possible for design to set.
